Prue started her career by opening Michelin-starred Leith's in Notting Hill in the 1960's, followed by her school of food & wine in 1974. Both have been resounding triumphs at the very top end of London's food scene.

Alongside this, Prue has also found enormous success as an author, columnist, critic, businesswoman and TV personality, somehow finding time to  create twelve cookery books, seven novels, hold board memberships with British Railways, Halifax, Whitbread and Belmond Hotels, and run charity enterprises such as the Hoxton Apprentice, and the Children's Food Trust. She has also written as a food columnist for the Daily MailSunday ExpressThe Guardian and the Daily Mirror.
