Date: Saturday 5th September 2020
Location: Zoom Video
In this very special online pasta masterclass, our head chef Roberta d'Elia will be teaching from her family farm in Puglia, covering some of the most traditional pasta shapes of the region.
"Puglia is really special because we have this magical combination of sun-drenched, red earth with a cool coastal breeze, meaning we can harvest some of Italy’s most exquisite produce," says Roberta, of her home region. In true Pugliese spirit, the class will cover the philosophy of ‘cucina povera’ (literally meaning ‘poor cuisine’). You will learn how to make 'pasta bianca' – or 'white pasta' – which is typical of the region, including a filled pasta featuring a surprise seasonal vegetable.
At the end of the class, you’ll be able to enjoy dining on your very own creations, allowing you to evoke the feeling of Puglia at home.
How it works: You will require access to Zoom video calling and a webcam. The day before the event you will be sent a Zoom link via email. If you have not received your Zoom link, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
