Arugula, rucola, or just rocket (depending on where you're from), this humble leaf provides a peppery alternative to the traditional basil variety, and it lends our pesto a slightly punchier taste that might explain why the Ancient Romans thought eruca could be an aphrodisiac...

We pair our inventive, fresh and vibrant pesto with rustichelle, a short, curled pasta shape said to have originated in Umbria. The outside of the pasta is ridged to help the pasta 'hold' the sauce. The dish is finished with rocket leaves, toasted walnuts and parmesan.
