Date: Saturday 26th September 2020
Location: Zoom Video
Born out of the anxiety & uncertainty of 2020, throughout September at Pasta Evangelists we are celebrating the nourishing properties of the miracle ingredients central to the Mediterranean diet - and the Italian tradition of pasta making!
Join us in a celebration of the plant-based bounty of the Italian harvest!
With roots in the cucina povera of the South of Italy, the home of our sfoglina Roberta, pasta bianca, vegan pasta or, simply, pasta without egg, is incredibly easy to make once you know how to do it.
What’s included in this class?
- A fresh pasta masterclass with our Head Sfoglina Roberta, a Puglian native who learned how to make pasta with her nonna when she was eight years old
- Learn about Italian cucina povera and the origins of pasta bianca in Italian cuisine
- Learn how to make two of Italy’s finest vegan pasta types from scratch: trofie and orecchiette
- Learn how to create two Italian staple plant-based sauces using the freshest seasonal herbs and vegetables, including an vegan alternative of our famous pistachio pesto
