With pumpkins in high season in the UK, we are taking advantage to create a thick and fragrant pesto, which still feels as fresh as the more familiar basil version, and even competes with it for vibrant green colour.
These colourful gnocchi contain a hint of additional flavour, with spinaci and a hint of pumpkin (zucca) flavouring the green and orange dumplings respectively.
