Each kit features an array of beechwood pasta tools, including a tapered Italian rolling pin – the traditional tool for rolling perfectly thin pasta sheets. For making filled pasta, there’s a square ravioli stamp, as well as a fluted pasta cutter for adding wavy edges to sheets of pasta. We can’t forget the gnocchi board either, which is ideal for adding ridges to gnocchi dumplings and other pasta shapes. Included with all of this are easy-to-follow instructions for making orecchiette and trofie, written by our Head Pasta Chef, Roberta D’Elia.
As our Head Chef Roberta likes to remind us, making authentic pasta starts with the right ingredients. With that in mind, we’ve included a 1kg bag of Italian semola flour – which is the flour of choice for egg-free pasta shapes like orecchiette and trofie. Once you’re ready to cook your pasta, use the included Italian sea salt to season your cooking water to perfection.
