'Cacio e Pepe' Tortelloni with Black Pepper Butter & Crushed Grissini

Cacio e pepe is a well-loved and traditional sauce of Rome, meaning 'cheese and pepper'. A simple sauce, cacio e pepe is typically served with a long pasta, such as spaghetti, tonnarelli or pici. In our unusual twist, however, we've combined the humble (but gorgeous) flavours of cacio e pepe - freshly ground black pepper and Pecorino Romano cheese - in artisan tortelloni, which are filled by hand and carefully sealed.

Further elevating this humble Roman dish to heavenly heights is a crushed grissini garnish, which can be tumbled upon the tortelloni once cooked, adding sumptuous crunch and texture.
