Frequently Asked Questions
Can I recycle my packaging?
How do I send my packaging back to Pasta Evangelists to be reused?
How do you deal with food wastage?
Pasta Evangelists uses technology to reduce our food wastage as much as possible. Using predictive models for planning orders, updating our menu weekly to ensure we keep our most popular dishes available and ongoing delivery optimisation. By providing pre-portioned food, our customers just order what they need, thereby greatly limiting food wastage. Also, although our food has a short shelf-life, given that is made without preservatives or pasteurisation, it can be frozen for up to a month. If we ever do end up with a small amount leftover, our team of pasta fanatics team always finish it off!
Why do you use wool insulation?
Wool insulation is an amazing, natural, material to keep fresh food insulated and chilled. The wool insulation in our UK boxes is a by-product of the shearing process which is necessary to keep sheep healthy. We use the coarsest wool which has been rejected by the textiles industry, and as a result is almost worthless to farmers. By using this 'worthless wool' we're creating demand for it again, giving back to the farmers and preventing materials from going to waste. Some of our customers even re-use our wool insulation on their gardens, It's a great way to keep plants watered during the drier months!
