We'd like to invite you to a digital pasta masterclass, intimately hosted by our Head Chef Roberta from her own kitchen in Berkshire.
In this session, you'll learn to make pasta by hand in the authentic, artisan tradition passed down in Italy through the centuries. Roberta originates in Puglia, in the Italian South, where she learned how to make pasta from her nonna as a little girl.
You’ll start by discovering more about Italy and its regional traditions from Roberta and what Italian cooking means to her. You'll then learn how to make the classic pillows of gnocchi plus a delicious pesto sauce with which to dress them.
1 small egg + 150g white flour + 500g potato (already boiled)
For the pesto sauce:
- A bunch of fresh basil
- Extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup pine nuts
- Parmigiano Reggiano or other hard cheese (optional)
- 1 clove garlic (optional)
- A rolling pin (if you don’t have one, a bottle of wine would make a very authentic substitute!)
- Knife & Fork
- Cling film
- Pestle & Mortar
If you cannot get the ingredients to make the filling or sauce, just let Roberta know what you have sitting in your fridge/pantry and she will guide you through an alternative using what you have available.

Please note that, in order to preserve the intimacy of the event, we can welcome 1 person per ticket purchased to the digital event. We will have a maximum of 10 guests per digital event.
