In this limited edition digital masterclass, we will transport you to the azure, picturesque coastal island of Sicily, during which our Head Sfoglina (pasta chef), Roberta, will walk you through the gastronomic traditions of Sicily, before teaching you to make two Sicilian classics - filled pasta by hand, and Norma sauce.
- 2 large eggs + 200g white flour OR 200g semolina + 80ml water
For the Norma sauce:
- 1 onion
- Handful of fresh basil
- 2 aubergines
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 800g Peeled tomatoes
- 200g Salted ricotta (or parmesan)
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- A rolling pin (if you don’t have one, a bottle of wine would make a very authentic substitute!)
- Knife & Fork
- Cling film
If you cannot get the ingredients to make the sauce, just let Roberta know what you have sitting in your fridge/pantry and she will guide you through an alternative using what you have available.
How it works: You will require access to Zoom video calling and a webcam. The day before the event you will be sent a Zoom link via email. If you have not received your Zoom link, please contact email@example.com.
Please note that, in order to preserve the intimacy of the event, we can welcome 1 person per ticket purchased to the digital event. We will have a maximum of 10 guests per digital event.
